Furnishing Designs
On occasion I get to dabble in furniture and architectural accessory design in my work with my colleagues at Reimer & Co. Here are some furniture ideas I’ve been working on for a modern timber residence up in Golden, BC. Furniture is one of my favourite design mediums, though the opportunity to design pieces that will actually be produced is rare. I am pretty enamored with the large contrasting wood bits, accented by steel and dovetailed together in big chunks. Would you want one of these in your house?

Yes. Yes it would. I suppose 3/8″ plate would be adequate, and the legs could be drilled out more for weight, but still i like the solid feel of 1/2″. Wiggly tables suck.
