Well, For those of you who wonder why we’ve never gotten a sign outside of our building, the main reason is that we had in the works a sign with four wheels. Originally, the firm was named after a blue 1974 VW Standard Beetle which I owned at the time of the founding of the firm. I figured I had the company car already, so why not?

About 3 years ago Shane (business partner) and I arranged for the company to buy the beetle, which looked a little rough around the edges from 3 canadian winters as our daily driver. Our first son, Finn, came home from the hospital on February 27, 2005 in this car. Now in the company possession, the beetle needed a bit of a face-lift to be presentable for business. We arranged a deal in which the car would get a simple coat of paint in the hands of a local back-yard restorer. 3 years and countless hours, countless dollars, and not one but 3 coats of paint, interior kit, carpets, front end, shocks, tires, and on and on and on… finally we have our car back, and our sign. Hopefully this new sign will help our clients find our Bluebeetle Creative office at #1 Van Horne Street, Cranbrook. Happy Bluebeetle Day!
