We were in Nelson, BC over the weekend for a wedding (sans kids!) and I took advantage of the opportunity to walk around and find some more old building to sketch. There is ample supply of buildings and cool houses in this historic community that had the foresight to keep all the buildings up (instead of bulldozing them in the name of progress à la Cranbrook but that’s another story). I found two cool old church buildings that definitely needed to be drawn. One was the Mary Immaculate parish and then further down the road the old Anglican church. Lots of stone texture and roman columns with good drawing lines. Salut!

Lovely drawings, homeboy.
Thanks Dawg.
