Something Old, Something New

Posted by michael on February 22nd, 2010

Here are a couple of drawings, one is from this weekend, sitting in a coffee shop looking across the street. I keep finding old buildings around here that I had not noticed. There are a ton of character homes, one day I’ll spend a day and ride my scooter around and draw a bunch of them. The other from a solo trip in my VW van to Tofino in ’98. There was this cool boat-house (different from a house-boat) up on one of the rocks across from the Blue Heron restaurant. I was fortunate enough to catch four sunny days in a row in February camping at Green Point campground.

The Proles love to re-purpose boats into houses.

  3. Oh Mikey,
These are so wonderful. What a talent you have – both for seeing and for capturing what you see. And what a gift we have, for getting to share both.
    Love ya,
