Across from my office is one of those hotels that, in it's day, was all brass and dark wood with white-shirted bartenders with bow ties and wax mustaches.

But I think it is time I blogged on my own domain, with and talk about things in my industry. I have been feeling the desire to put more stuff out there, to show some process in of my work, and to try to wrestle with the issues I deal with in my humble design firm day-to-day. I have been reading other design blogs, and after nearly 8 years of working in a design void, have come to many of the same conclusions as professionals elsewhere. I feel somewhat gratified by that, and if my thoughts and ramblings can help someone else somewhere feel a little more confident and productive, then great. Otherwise this is all for me, to help me distill my thoughts and feel like I can contribute to the design world. Thanks in advance for listening.
