Mr. Brandman
Posted by michael on February 8th, 2010One of my favourite parts of design is working with companies to create (or re-create) a logo, brand, or brand system. The cool part is it is an infinitely scalable process that can take 5 hours (don’t tell anyone I said that) or it can hundreds of hours. The real difference between the lower end of the scale is thoroughness of research, and the refinement of the variations of logo files. In 5 hours it is simply impossible to do research, meet with clients, do focus groups, study target markets, send surveys, design sketches, more focus groups, more revisions, more concepts, more focus groups and then finally a brand book. Many companies, small business, and people simply don’t need or want that level of justification.
Regardless of the size of a company, I love to try to maximize the visual impact that they have for their business, and designing a good logo is part of that brand package. Below is a compilation of a number of logos that I have designed over the years.
